Kerala Trip: Varkala!

Day two involved travelling on a train from Kottayam to Varkala where we spent the afternoon on the beach. It was kind of crowded on the beach and the sea was also pretty rough so we just kind of splashed around after we ate lunch in one of the little restaurants. We also went a little crazy in a clothes shop just before we left!

 

After we had our fill on the beach, we hopped back on a train to Trivandrum where we spent the night in one of Anna's relatives' place. We showered, ate yummy chicken curry with chappatis and coconut souffle for dessert and then played a couple of rounds of Dutch Blitz before retiring for the night...
